Problem

Current Rapid Rounds rely on manual note-taking, fragmented communication, and limited patient input, leading to inefficiencies and missed information.

Key Insights

  • Clinicians resist switching to new processes.

  • Learners (medical students) lack engagement opportunities.

  • Responsibility to share key info often falls on individuals.

  • Patient stories get lost in the fast pace.

Proposed Solution

A digital dashboard integrated with EMR (Dovetale) to:

  • Capture patient voice and discharge milestones.

  • Enable interdisciplinary communication.

  • Assign and track care-team tasks.

  • Improve visibility of real-time updates.

Outcome

A re-designed Rapid Rounds experience that promotes:

  • Efficiency in decision-making.

  • Transparency in roles and responsibilities.

  • Empathy through patient inclusion.
